Sam’s 15 month check-up

Sam had her 15 month check-up today.
Weight = 21 lbs (25th percentile)
Height – 29.5 inches (in between 10-25th percentile)

She is meeting all of her developmental milestones right on target, the pediatrician was very happy with her progress. Only issue really is to get her off her “te te” (AKA the bottle). When the pediatrician tried to listen to her heartbeat, Sam said “ba boom, ba boom,” like we do when we play with the vet kit stethoscope at home 🙂 I was surprised at how social she was in the waiting room, and even in the exam room. She really is blossoming and coming into her own.

Only 2 shots, DPT and the last of her Hib series.

shower boy

Recently Aidan has decided that he no longer wants to take baths. Tonight in an effort to get him clean, I asked if he wanted to take a “big boy shower” like daddy. Here is a pic… I think Aidan got the cleanest he could possibly be tonight with his 20 minute “big boy shower!”

beach vacation

Here are some pics from our beach trip. We had a great time. Aidan spent 4 consecutive hours in the ocean on Friday! Sam loved the sand, would not go near the ocean 🙂 I got to read a really good book, something I have not done in a long time. And, Rahul and I had some much needed QT.

fun with Nana

Rahul and I went to Molly’s wedding in Asheville this weekend. Nana stayed with the kiddos. She got them some sunglasses to take to the beach later this week. I wanted to share some pictures of our cool kiddos!

Dora

Funny story today from preschool. Aidan’s friend Onye had her b-day party and the theme was Dora the Explorer. What we all did not know was that an actual Dora was coming to the party. Poor Onye was traumatized by the Giant Dora (so were some of the other kiddos in the class). Aidan went right up to Dora to give her high five and was the first to jump up and dance and sing along with her. He kept turning around to me saying “Look mom, it’s Dora!” At the end of each song/dance, he would tell everyone “good dancing!”

What a funny kid!
