Happy holidays

We started to get festive today… here is a picture of our Christmas tree.

A little fact: our tree came from the same tree farm as the tree at the White House this year.

Happy Birthday Bear!

It is hard to believe that Bear is 12 years old today. Even as an old man, he watches over and protects our family each and every day. He got a special treat yesterday…his favorite part of Thanksgiving… a turkey leg 🙂

fall in North Carolina

We put the gardens to bed for winter yesterday and raked leaves in preparation for our T-day festivities. In true North Carolina fashion, it was sunny and 70 degrees. How could you live any place else?

Samantha is a star!

Miss Sam is going to be in the 2008 Guatadopt calendar! Her picture is in the month of September, and it is the one that Kevin took at her b-day party… one that we really love…. Check out the calendar preview –

oops!

We found out after submitting our addition plans to the bank that b/c of zoning issues we could not use the design we planned. After re-working the plans with the contractor, we will be adding onto to the left side of the house (off the dining/living room area). We actually like this design better, but also are just grateful that the plans could be re-worked.

So, here is a picture of the left side of the house pre-construction. I will post more as things progress.
