Aidan finally made it to 40lbs, which means he can use a booster car seat. He was so happy to help buckle himself in like mommy and daddy do, and play with his nifty activity lights on each side of the seat (the things we elders had to live without…geez :-). I was happy that the booster seat takes up so much less space than the toddler car seat!
Here is a pic of proud Aidan in his big kid car seat.
For my birthday, I decided to get a tattoo. I have been thinking about it for a while and thought my b-day would be a good time to do it. I decided on the triangle of love as my design. Each part of the triangle represents someone in the adoption process – birth family, adoptive family, and child. All brought together with love. My tattoo is in the healing process, so I thought I would post a picture of the design.
We got about 4 inches of snow yesterday. The kids woke us up at 3:30am to tell us it was snowing 🙂 Here are some pictures of our fun snow day.
Barack Obama becomes the 44th President of the United States today. Never before have I felt such a need for change, and hope that change will really happen.
Yes We Did! Together we made history.
Samantha went to the dentist for her 6 mo check-up today. She told me she wanted to be “really brave” this time. (Our last visit ended when the hygienist tried to lower the chair, and Sam said “get me out of here!”) This time, she let her look at her teeth, clean them, even a fluoride treatment! Sam got all kinds of special dentist goodies for her bravery.
