The inaugural dip in the pool!

Our pool is FINALLY finished! Water was delivered this morning. And, even though it was 68 degrees this afternoon, I did let the kids take their very first dip. Samantha, the wise one, just got her toes wet. Aidan would have stayed in the water until his entire body was blue if we let him 🙂

Here is a pic of the first dip!

First soccer practice

I signed Aidan up for fall soccer. We were a week behind, so today was his first practice. I thought he did a great job joining the team and listening to his coach. It was really hot this afternoon (90 degrees), so frequent water breaks were needed. Here is a picture of Aidan after his practice…he was super sweaty, but loved practice. First game is Saturday!

pool progress

Well, it has felt like we live in Seattle this week. Lots of rain, which has slowed down our pool construction progress. We finally have decking around the pool, complete with a snazzy compass and stamped circle sitting area (freebies we were grateful for!) Final clean up, liner installation and water delivery scheduled for next week. Now, the sun needs to come out next weekend so we can take our first dip in the new pool!

Wilson park party fun

This time it was Charlie’s birthday we were celebrating at Wilson Park. Vaughn brought a face painting kit, which I think was the hit of the party. Here is Aidan as a happy green monster and Samantha as a purple princess.

my little ballerina

I took the camera along with me to Samantha’s dance class this morning. It was so much fun watching her. And, it brought back lots of memories of my dancing days. Here are some pictures of ballerina Samantha.

busy, busy…

We have been super busy since the new school year started. Both kiddos are adjusting well and are really having a blast at Perry Harrison.

Last weekend Samantha had her first dance lesson. She was nervous about going, wanted her daddy to take her, but had a smile on her face the entire 45 min lesson.

Later that day was Aidan’s birthday party at Wilson Park. It was great to catch up with families from his 4 yr preschool class and celebrate with family. Here are some pics of the fun.
