busy week

What a fun and busy week! We celebrated Thanksgiving with MeMa and PPops, picked out and decorated this year’s Christmas tree with NaNa, and even got to see Santa! Here is a picture of our tree and the 2 little people I am most thankful for this year and every year.

Not 1, but 2!!!

Aidan’s appt to have his stubborn baby tooth pulled was this coming Tues. We had not made any progress it pulling it over the past few weeks, but tonight I saw the tooth move when he was brushing his teeth. So, we decided to try again. Much to our surprise, the baby tooth next to the one that we had been wiggling was also loose. After some pulling and wiggling (a failed attempt at using the dental floss approach), BOTH baby teeth came out! Samantha was the best sister ever…offering him a cloth, some Tylenol, sweet kisses to feel better, and even helped him put his teeth under his pillow for the tooth fairy. I am so glad we avoided going to the dentist! Here are some pics of our exciting evening of teeth pulling 🙂

end of the season

Soccer season ended this week. Practices and the final Saturday game were canceled because of all the rainy weather. This afternoon was the end of the season party at the park. Aidan’s award was “toughest and swiftest player.” Overall, it was a fun experience, and I think Aidan wants to play again in the spring. Here is a picture of Aidan in action at the game last weekend.

wiggle, wiggle

We have noticed over the past couple of months that one of Aidan’s bottom teeth has started to move. Well, we figured out this week why that is happening…his permanent tooth is coming in! I called the dentist and was instructed that we have to try to pull the baby tooth for at least 2 weeks before we can come in and have it pulled. We have been wiggling it every night this week, but not making a lot of progress. The tooth needs to come out so the permanent tooth can move to the correct position. We will continue to work on getting the tooth out at home, but not feeling that optimistic.

Fingers crossed that the tooth fairy will be coming soon.
