she is my daughter

Aidan got his first progress report on Wed. No areas of concern (or Ns, Needs improvement, as he calls them). Yes, another reason to love 2nd grade!

Samantha’s for some reason came home today. It was excellent, of course, but I could not help but chuckle at one of the comments her teacher made.
She is, in fact, MY daughter 🙂 Check it out:

Despite needing reminders about when to be social, Samantha is reading above grade level. We are so much alike! I can remember bringing home report cards as a child with all A grades, but U (Unsatisfactory) ratings in the area of “avoids unnecessary talking.” I was proud that I could be social and still get my work done. My parents had a different thought. Sigh.

So, it appears that even shy Samantha and I have more in common with school than I anticipated.
