healthy eating and gratitude

I did fat loss boot camp a month or so ago. Click here for more info on what that means and how I did. For me it was not so much about losing weight, but more about eating healthier. We used to always have some type of potato product or rice as our dinner side item vs green vegetables.  Post boot camp, I was feeling so much better – more energy, blood sugar levels more stable, etc. Rahul got me a new cookbook for Christmas that talks about how to make all foods “Paleo.” For more about paleo living, click here. Tonight I tried cauliflower mashed potatoes.

I am proud to report that 3 out of 4 family members asked for seconds!!! (Aidan ate Indian food).

Now for gratitude. Samantha and I have been reading the book Girls Lit From Within. For more about the book, click here. Tonight’s chapter was about being grateful and suggested that girls make a gratitude list each night to remind them of all the things they should be grateful for. Before the chapter was even finished, Samantha was working on her first list.

Just another reason I love this girl more than life itself 🙂
