It happened a few weeks ago, of course when I had a rotisserie chicken prepared for dinner. Sigh. We are meat eaters as a family, but this was not a shock for us. Samantha has always preferred fruits and veggies, but with no meat we worried about her protein intake.
After a chat with the pediatrician and the fact that she will still eat fish and animal products (i.e., eggs), we decided she could give it a go.
We switched her yogurt to greek yogurt and as pictured above added a snack of edamame.
She has been really into it and really wants to not eat meat. I think it is because of our chickens. She loves her pets and cannot imagine eating them. I do love that thoughtful gal…but will still be a meat eater.
