Aidan is at guitar camp all day, every day this week. He is super excited about this camp since it is the first year that he meets both requirements: 1) ages 11-18 and 2) able to play an instrument. He came home after day one saying he was in a band called Rolling Squares.
Samantha and I are having mom and daughter camp. We started off with a trip to Fearrington Village to photograph the animals there. We drove around to some other local pastures but the temps were close to 100 degrees by 10:30am so all the cows were far away and under the trees. Here are some of my favorite pics –
Later on we did some planning for the upcoming Girls TALK programs, had lunch together, researched a Christmas destination getaway, of course went to Starbucks, and then the best part of the day…. Samantha cooked dinner with me.
I was planning on 2 variations of dinner tonight. Paleo (no gluten for me) and a gluten filled alternative for the rest of the family. Samantha took over the gluten option and learned how to use the gas stove.
After dinner, she shared she wanted to go to this camp every summer. Super excited that I have the summer off to recharge and have this kind of special one on one time.
